It's one of those great mile stone moments along our journey; right up there with first tube patching job under a slush of rain, first mystery dish order, and first bike shop visit: today we exit the small bit of island we landed on two weeks ago. Though the land of Bali still had way much more to explore, the much larger island of Java awaits. Traffic is suppose to be on a whole 'nother level through this predominantly Muslim - and tremendously larger by comparison - island. I can't help feeling excited.
There are benefits to a larger island, you know. More competition between shop proprietors means cheaper prices and all that more likely that we'll come across a bike shop when in need.
We're pulling away from the doc! At least it stopped raining, see you in Java.
